HOT TOPICS OF THE WEEK

In Week 4 CFL Social, you shared some of your ideas for a CFL Olympics. This week the hot topic was Richard Harris, as the Bombers honoured the late coach before their home opener, one year after his death. Our social media guru Kate McKenna also asked you what's on your CFL bucket list. Here's what you had to say:

It was an emotional home opener for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last Thursday, as the team honoured the late Coach Richard Harris before kickoff. Many players and coaches still on the team as well as around the league have had their lives touched in some way by Harris, and he continues to live in memories and hearts around the CFL.

@DougBrown97 There are days when I have to remind myself of why I walked away from pro-football. Today is not one of those days.

One hashtag that's really taken off in CFL social media circles: #NoLeadIsSafe.  It was a CFL league slogan last year and has since taken on a life of its own, becomimg a way for fans to unite online as a rallying cry to remember not to become complacent. Last week three of four games were decided by three points or less, including a come from behind 35-34 win for the Ticats over Saskatchewan in fourth quarter. Hamilton bounced back from a 19-point 4th quarter deficit, marking the second week in row the Riders have blown a three-score lead in the fourth quarter.
