MONTREAL -- The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that the club has added import defensive ends Anwar Stewart and Eze Obiorato to the practice roster. Both players will be at today's practice at Stade Hebert.

Stewart, rejoins Montreal after making eight Grey Cup appearances with the Alouettes from 2002 to 2011, while helping lead the team to championships in 2002, 2009 and 2010.

Stewart spent 10 years with the Alouettes and holds the club's all-time record for career quarterback sacks with 66. The CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2004, Stewart was also named a CFL All-Star in 2004 and 2009.

Most recently, the 37-year-old signed with the Calgary Stampeders last October, where he proved his worth, recording four sacks in as many games, while helping Calgary reach the 100th Grey Cup game.

Obiorato, attended the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' training camp earlier this year, playing in one CFL pre-season game against the Alouettes where he recorded one defensive tackle. At Southern Illinois University, Obiora recorded 66 defensive tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback sacks, and three forced fumbles in his two seasons.

The club also announced that non-import defensive end Ameet Pall has been placed on the nine-game injured list and that non-import receiver Youssy Pierre has informed the team that he no longer wishes to play football, thus leading to his release.

Anwar has game left, and the Als never could replace him. Sometimes you need to keep a couple of your Old War Vets to maintain. Kuale is NOT a DE. If the "Als Way" means the dominance of the last decade, it always started up front.
