TORONTO -- In the year of the 100th Grey Cup, the Canadian Football League will be launching its next 100 years in new, re-engineered jerseys from Reebok.
"The 100th Grey Cup will be a celebration of our proud past, and its bright future, at the same time," said CFL Commissioner Cohon. "So while we will mark this historic milestone in many ways, we have also worked with Reebok to re-engineer team jerseys for the way the game is played today --- and to help our athletes succeed tomorrow."
All eight teams will take the field in 2012 with re-engineered jerseys that have increased elasticity, improved resiliency and moisture wicking technology. All re-engineered jerseys will have the same game changing technological improvements and the design updates will be unique to each team.
"The on field jerseys were developed to improve the player experience, while the new premier jerseys will bring the fans closer to the game. After a two year process and a close collaboration with the CFL and its teams, Reebok is proud to introduce the new reengineered jersey", mentioned Stewart Clark, Marketing Director at Reebok Canada.
Both the official player jersey and the new premier jersey will be unveiled prior to training camp.

Looking forward to seeing the new "looks" for each team! Improved technology to make the jerseys more comfortable for the players will be great!! Apparently Argos will be unveiling theirs on May 1st.

Business is business; every few years you have to make a change to generate the coin, eh? Let's hope they look great. Because we want Tate looking his best hoisting the 100th Grey Cup!!

So that's why Rider jerseys have been on such a good sale this winter and spring. Clearing out stock. Oh well. I finally have my prized green jersey, even if it will be "so last year".

Will there be alternate jerseys too? In any case I'm really looking forward to this, I need an orange Lions jersey to complete the colour trifecta.

Maybe I'm getting old, but it feels like newly designed jerseys just came out a few years ago.
Ont the plus side its a good thing to hear that they'll be better for the players though, totally agree with that aspect.

as long as reebok and the league don't change the logos or the way the jerseys are laid out!! nobody wants the sweater to make them look like a pencil neck geek while wearing them!!
