EDMONTON -- After sustaining an injury that saw him exit Friday night's game via ambulance, Edmonton Eskimos defensive back Ronnie Prude has been released from the hospital.
Prude sustained the injury while attempting to tackle Roughriders receiver Terrence Jeffers-Harris in the third quarter of Edmonton's 28-20 win. He remained down on the field for several minutes while medical staff attended to him. Shortly after being taken to the hospital, it was reported that he had movement in all of his extremities.
"Football aside, we are very grateful to our team doctors and staff, the EMT's, and the medical staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for their combined professional expertise on Friday night," added Tillman.
Prude has appeared in three games for the Eskimos this season - his first in the CFL - and has registered eight defensive tackles, in addition to one special teams tackle.
He is 30.
