REGINA -- The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed import linebacker Sean Lucas to a new contract. The financial details were not released.

Lucas has played the last five seasons with the Green and White since originally signing as a free agent in May, 2006. In 71 regular season games, the 27-year old has tallied 311 defensive tackles, 21 special team tackles, seven quarterback sacks, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

In 2010, Lucas dressed in 17 regular season games before missing the last game and playoffs with an elbow injury. He finished the regular season with 71 defensive tackles, eight special team tackles, four pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and one quarterback sack.
