Quarterback - Bo Levi Mitchell: His youth and productivity make him the QB of the future in Calgary
UNPROTECTED QBs: Kevin Glenn, Drew Tate.

Nik Lewis – Slotback: Coming off the first serious injury of his career, Lewis is still a great pass catcher and a devastating blocker. Likely has another couple of productive years left in him.

Maurice Price – Wide Receiver: Price is a perennial candidate for Fastest-Man-in-CFL award.  His blinding speed netted him 57 catches in 2013.

Marquay McDaniel – Slotback: McDaniel filled in for Nik Lewis and had career highs in 2013.  He’s a great blocker in his own right as well.

Charleston Hughes – Defensive End: The league sack leader in 2013 presents matchup problems for every other team in the league.

Stanley Bryant – Offensive Lineman: Bryant helped keep Stampeder quarterbacks upright in 2013, while playing left tackle.

Deron Mayo – Linebacker: Great sideline-to-sideline quickness. Also a blossoming special teams star.

Jeff Fuller – Wide Receiver: The late addition to the Stamps’ roster in 2013 possesses intriguing combination of size and reach.

Brandon Smith – Defensive back: Who is the best receiver on the opposite side of the field?  Whoever it is, Brandon Smith will be there covering him all night long.

Micah Johnson – Defensive tackle: Johnson battled injuries in 2013, but was productive when in the lineup.

Keon Raymond – Linebacker: Raymond’s a versatile player who can be plugged in just about anywhere.  Well-respected dressing room leader.

Jon Cornish - Running back: The reigning CFL MOP is in the prime of his career. It might be the easiest decision in the entire league to keep him off-limits.

Rene Paredes – Kicker: The Concordia product is coming off one of the greatest kicking seasons in CFL history.

Brad Sinopoli – Slotback: Sinopoli made switch to receiver from QB with relative ease. His great athletic ability is something the Stamps should cherish.

Brett Jones – Offensive Lineman: The 2013 Most Outstanding Rookie seems poised for a long, productive career.

Jon Gott – Offensive Lineman: He’s a tenacious battler in the trenches and a dependable blocker for Cornish.

Spencer Wilson – Offensive Lineman: The local product has been making tremendous strides, allowing his athletic ability to catch up to his hulking size.

I'm hoping Glenn or Tate get drafted by Ottawa, as that would have multiple benefits for Calgary:

1. It means no other IMP are lost

2. It means both kickers (Paredes & Maver) cannot be drafted

3. It means that in addition to protecting NIMP as replacements for one/both kickers, an additional 2 NIMP can be protected in rounds 2 & 3 (free protection for 3 or 4 extra NIMP)

4. It alleviates the glut of QBs and potentially avoids some QB controversy. Ideally, Mitchell becomes the starter with either Tate or Glenn as the veteran backup.

I 100% agree with protecting Mitchell, as he is (should be) the Stamps' QB of the future (hopefully starting next season).

I've read conflicting reports regarding the number of kickers a team can protect. If teams aren't limited to protecting just 1 kicker, then I would hope both Paredes and Maver are protected. I'd leave Wilson unprotected, since the Stamps have great depth at OL.

Green & White Forever!
Too bad that Calgary's former DC is Ottawa's HC. He'll most likely be helping to pick players, and he'll go with who he's familiar with. Calgary has three good QBs, it's pretty clear one is going to go, along with Collaros.

Tate and Tsoumpas. Sounds like Ottawa is definitely taking a QB from Calgary so its just a question of who and I'd go with Tate for his age and potential ability. I know Tsoumpas is a Free Agent but I don't think that would deter the Redblacks. They took Calgary's Defensive Co-ordinator as head coach and Calgary's offensive line coach for Offensive Co-ordinator. I can't see why Tsoumpas would be opposed to coming to Ottawa to re-unite with these guys and he is a perennial all star
