OTTAWA -- Kevin Glenn doesn't want to continue his CFL career with the expansion Ottawa REDBLACKS.

The veteran quarterback says he's asked the REDBLACKS to be traded.

Ottawa selected Glenn, 34, on Dec. 15 in the first round of the CFL expansion draft after compiling a 20-8 record as a starter the last two years with the Calgary Stampeders.

But on Feb. 4, Ottawa signed veteran Henry Burris to a lucrative three-year contract and immediately named him its starter.

Glenn said he originally asked the REDBLACKS to be released but that request was rejected.

Ottawa GM Marcel Desjardins said he's working to accommodate Glenn's wishes.

Glenn, a 13-year CFL veteran, said he believes he can be a starter in the CFL and has earned the right to at least compete for the No. 1 job with another team.

Sask. needs a quarterback coach and a proven starter . Glen would be perfect.

At the draft, it was said starter would be named at training camp. So when Burris came in as starter, no wonder Glenn is ticked. Everyone is saying Winnipeg might be the destination, but i don't know. Didn't he leave there pretty unhappy? I'm thinking Ti-cats could use him in a Calgary like situation.

Experience at key positions is a big plus for a team. Edmonton might be a good place now that Kerry Joseph is gone.

NO SURPRISE here! Bombers should jump at this chance to get him. Far better #1 QB prospect than Drew Willy!

Ottawa were hoping to flip Glenn for a first round draft pick. They may have to settle for less now!!

BBs would definitely be interested, but NOT going to give Ottawa their first round pick.

Can't blame him for wanting out. Glenn is the Rodney Dangerfield of the CFL.

He should stay put. He will be the starter after 3 games, after Henry has imploded because he can't handle a young team.

You seem to forget that Burris worked with about the youngest team in the league last season. As well the RBs did manage to draft some veteran guys.

NO surprise in the least other than why it took so long to finally hit the fan publically!! GM desjardins may have overplayed his hand!! either trade, release, suspend him if he doesn't show up for TC or as TCmcb says have a disgruntled #2 or #3 sulking in the LR or on the bench!!

This is not a bit surprising since Burris was signed to be "the QB" but are there any teams that will be ready to accommodate Glenn's request? If not then Desjardins/Campbell either have to release him or be left with a disgruntled #2!
