OTTAWA -- Canada Post has announced that on Thursday it will issue eight CFL team stamps in commemoration of this year's 100th Grey Cup celebration.

“There are few sports in this country that garner enthusiasm and spirit as the CFL does,” the Honourable Steven Fletcher, Minister of State (Transport), said in a press release.

“These stamps are a great way to start a new and memorable season.”

The program unveils one domestic rate stamp available in rolls of 50 for each team, as well as a souvenir sheet that offers each stamp on a single sheet.

“The 100th Grey Cup will be a celebration of our game, our country, and the bond they share together,” said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.

“And this partnership is an important example of how we will be paying tribute to our proud past. We are excited to unveil these commemorative CFL products in the near future and I’m sure fans will love them.”

Canada Post will also be unveiling additional stamps in August as part of the program.

This is neat. I hope that they are going to be readily available all over the country.
