Bombers Acquire DB Garrett From Riders

Winnipeg (CFL.ca) – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers football club have completed a trade with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, acquiring defensive back Kevin Garrett.

In return, Winnipeg dealt a negotiation list player and future considerations.

Garrett (5-9, 195, DOB: July 29, 1980 in San Benito, Texas)
dressed in the final four regular season games with the Calgary
Stampeders in 2007 after being released by the Carolina Panthers. He
was originally a fifth round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2003.
Garrett played nine games with the Rams in 2003 and 14 in 2004 before
moving on to the Houston Texans.

Blue Bombers training camp continues daily at Canad Inns Stadium with
the first practice of each day this week scheduled for 8 a.m. Media
availability with players and coaches will be at approximately noon on
Monday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 4 inclusive. All training camp
practices are open to the public.
