EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos will be without national fullback James Tuck for the 2018 season, the team announced Friday.

Tuck suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon during the team’s annual mini-camp last week in Las Vegas.

A Toronto Regional Combine invite in 2014, Tuck was picked in the fourth round, 31st overall, by the Montreal Alouettes after playing at York University. After stops in Winnipeg and Toronto, the 27-year-old joined Eskimos last season, dressing for seven games.
